TO BE ANNOUNCED AT THE TRANSLATIONAL LONGEVITY SUMMIT EVENT in Boston, Massachusetts - Wednesday, October 7,  2026 at One Milestone | Harvard Enterprise Research Campus

Building a Global Platform for Prevention, Research, Education, Policy and Practical Action

Thea announcement will be on October 7 ,2026  - The collaboration is designed to move health systems beyond a model focused primarily on treating disease after it appears. Instead, it supports earlier risk detection, preventive strategies, personalized care, regenerative medicine, public education, and policies that help preserve function throughout life.  This partnership creates a bridge between Italy’s scientific, clinical, cultural, and civic strengths and HSAC’s international coalition-building and advocacy work.

HEALTHSPAN

Extend Healthy, Independent Living

The collaboration focuses on helping people gain more years in good health—not simply more years of life. Its long-term vision includes protecting physical capability, mental well-being, cognitive function, and independence as people age.

PREVENTION

Act Earlier, Before Disease Advances

Healthspan depends on shifting attention upstream. Earlier detection, predictive diagnostics, personalized prevention, and education can help identify risks before they progress into chronic disease, disability, or loss of function.

GLOBAL CONNECTION

Link Knowledge With Action

The partnership brings together researchers, clinicians, foundations, universities, patient advocates, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and community leaders to turn knowledge into meaningful action.

SHARED GLOBAL AGENDA

Healthy longevity is one of the defining scientific, social, and economic challenges of our time. It affects how families care for loved ones, how health systems allocate resources, how communities support older adults, and how countries sustain active and productive populations. The answer cannot come from a single laboratory, hospital, government office, or wellness program. It requires collaboration across disciplines and sectors

A combination of science and clinical care, academic research and public education, data and policy, prevention and treatment, community engagement and institutional leadership.

The HSAC–Italy collaboration was created to make those connections stronger. It will bring together complementary expertise from both sides of the Atlantic and create a durable platform for dialogue, discovery, implementation, and public engagement.

From Scientific Discovery to Real-World Impact

Achieving that future will require scientific discovery, clinical innovation, prevention, policy leadership, public education, and sustained collaboration across national borders. It will require health systems that act before disease becomes crisis, communities that make prevention accessible, and institutions willing to work together around shared long-term goals.

  • International forums, conference programming, and expert exchanges on healthy aging, longevity science, regenerative medicine, and prevention.
  • Public education initiatives that make evidence-based healthspan information understandable, useful, and accessible.
  • New connections among researchers, clinicians, universities, foundations, policymakers, patient advocates, and responsible innovators.
  • Dialogue on policies, investments, and health-system strategies that support prevention, functional independence, and equitable access to emerging advances.
  • Opportunities to elevate women’s leadership, intergenerational engagement, and cross-sector participation in shaping the future of health.
  • Practical approaches that address the underlying drivers of chronic illness, frailty, and declining function across the lifespan.
