Perinatal Stem Cell Society

The Perinatal Stem Cell Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2013, dedicated to advancing the use of stem cells derived from perinatal tissues, such as the placenta and umbilical cord, for clinical applications. Its mission is to facilitate patient access to safe and effective stem cell therapies by promoting research, regulatory reforms, and collaboration among healthcare providers, scientists, and regulatory bodies. The society actively engages in regulatory discussions and advocates for pathways, like those established in Japan, to streamline the approval process for perinatal stem cell treatments in the U.S.
