About Us

Robert E. Margolin is an internationally recognized commercial leader in the advanced therapy industry with nearly 20 years of experience building, managing and accelerating the growth of companies and organizations in cell and gene therapy. Since 2020, Mr. Margolin’s served as VP, Commercial at Akron Biotech, a leading manufacturer of ancillary materials for the cell and gene therapy industry. Prior to Akron, Mr. Margolin led commercial efforts for several growth stage companies focused on GMP manufacturing services and solutions, critical GMP materials and CFR compliant software solutions for the commercialization of advanced therapies. Additionally, he’s played an instrumental role in the formation and management of several non-profit policy organizations and their corresponding annual events including the Genetics Policy Institute and it’s multi stakeholder event, The World Stem Cell Summit, and the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine and its flagship meeting, The Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa. Mr. Margolin holds a Master of Science from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with a concentration in stem cell biology and a Master Business Administration from Rutgers University.
