About Us

Sonya is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and gender equality activist who has been co-founder and CMO at deep tech, venture-backed startups. She is co-founder of Monarch Mavens, a unique revenue growth navigator for deep tech startups.

In 2023, Sonya came together with Dr. Sundeep Dugar and Monica Pal to co-found the mission-driven BlueOakNx, Inc., a Certified Public Benefit Corporation to bring science-based dietary supplements so that people can have fast and affordable access to products that can improve healthspan.

Sonya has been a leader and on the board of the award-winning, domestic violence non-profit Maitri for over 30 years, including 23 years as President of the Board. The organization has empowered thousands of South Asian survivors of domestic violence in the SF Bay Area and changed the conversation, laws, and beliefs on gender equality and familial violence in the South Asian community and the mainstream at the county, state, and national levels.

She is a Founding LP at the VC fund How Women Invest, pitch judges and mentors founders at the  Alchemist Accelerator, and is a TEDx Speaker.
