When you were growing up, you probably had a growth spurt or two. All of a sudden, your appetite increased, you needed a lot more sleep, and you got taller. In your teen years, even more changes happened.
It’s also like that as you grow into middle and old age, a new study says. Scientists have found that humans tend to have two “aging spurts” — one around age 44, the other around age 60.
In the study, published in the journal Nature, scientists at Stanford University and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore followed 108 participants over several years to observe how the molecules in their body changed.
